Why would you ignore someone?

especially when you are alone with that person.

Tell me why would you ignore your friend of 6 years when alone with her, but then when in a group you talk to her and tease her and stuff.

My friend is a guy btw.

Hes an idiot with a weak personality. He needs to do such things to make himself feel... well... worth somthing?
Cut him out and spend time with someone who is real and wont switch personalities like they are in the Mask.

Sounds like he just may be nervous when he's alone with a female, but with a group he doesn't have to carry the conversation or worry about moments of silence. Try interacting more with him when with the group and maybe he will gain more confidence to be with you one on one.
