Why are Redheads called Redheads when their Hair is Clearly Orange?

because there are more obvious red heads... its a more prominent color...and what we all sound like sayin (you know that one orange head)....orange just has less red in it then the darker red heads

No, but I have wondered how intelligent it is for a comic with orange hair to call himself "Carrot Top," when the tops of carrots are very obviously GREEN!!!

red is a more uniform color, as is white, as is black.
