Which monitor should I purchase: HD OR LCD?

I want a new monitor for my computer and I was just wondering which one would be better with resolution, etc..

LCD is a type, not a resolution. Nearly all computer monitors are LCD, and most are HD in that they are at least 720p. HD is a type of LCD monitor, so to speak, they are not both resolution. Other than that, I cannot recommend anything as you have given no useful information.

Liquid Crystal Display is a type of screen. High Definition is a resolution (720p - HD ready or 1080p - Full HD) which defines the picture quality.

You can have an HD LCD television. Actually, its the only thing you'll find these days :P
