Where to buy Crabbing Supplies In San Francisco, CA?

Where can I buy crabbing supplies in San Francisco, CA?

Also what is the best website I can buy crabbing supplies from?

I crab at the San Francisco Pier with my family and it is a lot of fun, but I am looking for ways to get more decent sized crabs. Also I am using Nylon rope and when I am pulling the rope up it sometimes slips, what kind of rope do you suggest using?

The best website for Crabbing Supplies is Cabelas at: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/index/index-display.jsp?id=cat601425&navAction=jump&navCount=1&cmCat=MainCatcat20166&parentType=category&parentId=cat20166. They have everything you'll ever need.

As far as the San Francisco area, any Bait Shop should carry crabbing supplies.

I only use hemp rope for crabbing. It doesn't slip or stretch.

Good luck.

Try New Coastside down near Pacifica and Hi's Tackle in South SF. Both are pretty good places.

I haven't been to Coastside in a while, but I have been to Hi's - two weeks ago. They're in the process of reorganizing the store so I would call them first.

I know for a fact that Hi's has rings/cages and rope on the back wall. However, I assume New Coastside would have a bugger selection of crabbing equipment.
