Where on your body do you lose wieght from first/easiest?

it depends on your body fat percentage really.
You may like your calves because they are the fullness you'd like to keep, but that may not be due to lean muscle mass. If it's body fat it will reduce in size along with everything else.
Unfortunately, you can't spot train body fat like you can if you wanted to build up your biceps or chest. It's not an independent muscle but think of all the fat in your body as one organ total. In order for one part of it to go down, some of all of it will have to go down. Some parts of your body can burn fat faster than other areas but it still has to come down as one.
It differs from person to person but places such as your face, hands, feet, distal limbs will show results the fastest, while the stomach and sub-pubic is usually slower. So, YES, it is normal. you will see the results you want with proper diet and intense exercise.
dont forget to change it up every so ofter to prevent your body from getting used to what you're doing. You will 'plateau' if you don't use variations.
If you liked the size of your calves you need to build them up, but be careful because calves can get bulky and 'cut up' pretty quickly. I'm not sure if the muscular look is the kinda look you're going for.
I hope this helps.
