When would a person on Medicare & Medicaid benefit from having a medigap policy ?

My Mom is in a Nursing home and Medicaid takes all her Social Security check except for $60/month after paying her health insurance premium.

If your Mom is receiving both Medicare and Medicaid -
Medicare is her primary policy and Medicaid is considered her medigap policy-
She would not need another medigap policy -
My brother is on Medicare and Medicaid and what Medicare doesn't pay, Medicaid picks up the 'gap".
