What was your wedding theme? Colors?

What was your wedding theme? Colors?

I am having a hard time deciding on a theme in terms of colors. We are meeting with the priest to set a date. I would like to get married in the fall or possibly the spring if that make a difference in terms of colors.

Maybe nice fall colors would be nice if you get married in the fall. I just went to a co-workers wedding and here theme colors were brown and beige. So pretty! Um...for the spring time it could be like pastel colors or something like a mint green or pastel blue. Just an idea.

I had Red, White and Black.
Was really pretty.

If your wedding is in the fall, becareful how you choose your colours, id ask a photographer what colours look nice with the Fall colours, eg you dont want your maids dresses or your dress to clash with the Fall leaves etc.

But Choc brown and baby blue or baby pink looks pretty, i have seen alot of those colours lately this year.

Check out google images, type in wedding theme, or wedding colours to give you a good idea.

I got married in the fall and I based my colors around the season. Because I am in CT the foliage is beautiful at that time of year. My bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses. The reception with brown with ivory accents and the flowers were rich fall colors like deep red, burnt orange and yellow. Here are some images for my blog:

It really depends on what your personality is, what colors you like, what colors look good on your bridesmaids, and what makes you happy. That's the biggest factor--as long as there's joy and happiness, the colors will look lovely!

I was really inspired by all the Mediterranean colors in the movie "Mama Mia." We had an outdoor wedding in my mom and dad's front yard with the reception in the back yard, so the garden really provided the colors.

My bridesmaids wore a beautiful, jewel-tone, bright, cobalt blue. The table cloths matched the bridesmaid dresses. All the other colors came from the garden. Of course, there was lots of green, but there were also yellow, pinks, purples, white, orange, etc. We had different colored umbrellas for each table.

It all really looked great! I got lots of compliments on the level of elegance blended with the casual atmosphere.

What was your wedding theme? Colors?

I had 2 bridesmaids, one in pastel pink and another in pastel blue (both the same dress styles) - It made the choices in colors easier as I had both the blue and pink to match with. Especially when it came to the flowers because I was able to use purple in them as well.

Red is always a nice color to have in a wedding but I think that the pastel colors are much nicer for this generation.

I was engaged about 7 years ago and we were planning a Fall wedding. I LOVE Fall weddings. The photography comes out beautiful (then again, I live in New England so the leaves are all changing colors) and the weather is just moderate enough that you aren't sweating or freezing to death. Fall is definitely my favorite season. Our colors were going to be really warm and rich ones. My dress was going to be a creamy ivory color (simple, mostly satin, and long) and the bridesmaids would be autumn colors (rich burgundy, chocolate brown, golden-ish... that sort of thing). I had it all planned, right down to the location which was a beautiful outdoor setting at a bed and breakfast in Massachusetts. The grass ended at the side of what was almost a cliff and the entire background was beautiful autumn foliage. Just thinking about it reminds me how much I wanted that. Oh well, everything happens for a reason. If we had made it to the alter I would never had met my daughter I have now. SUre I may have had other children, but they wouldn't have been her - and I just can't imagine my life with any other child but her. She's "the one." It's truly amazing; she is everything I ever dreamed she would be! Oh I need to stop. I'm getting all mushy and tearing up. Must be time for Auntie Flo to make her monthly visit, LOL!

Hope my color description at least helped you! Cheers!
