What methods do you use for niche research?

I am very new to affiliate marketing and looking for some help on how to do niche research. I know that having a profitable niche is necessary to make money, but how do you find one? What methods do you use or where can I at least find some reliable and helpful info?

This is probably the number one question that all beginners have when it comes to niche marketing. There are several ways that you can find profitable niches with free programs and websites. Things like Google Adwords, Wordtracker, and even Amazon.com can help give you some ideas on what people are searching for.

With Amazon, all you have to do is check out their most popular products for a week or two and see what they have in common. You can also join the affiliate networks like Commission Junction and Clickbank and check out the most popular products and see what niche they are in.

Be careful though, as you don't want to pick a niche that is overly saturated and you will never be able to get ranked for. You want to pick a semi-popular niche that you know a good amount of people will search for. Then you have to be able to answer any questions they pose when searching your product.

If you are still completely at a loss for your niche research, you may want to check out some Internet marketing websites such as www.mattbacak.com to give you more help. I have followed Matt Bacak for awhile now and know that he provides great advice so I am not afraid to recommend him to you. Make sure that you do some research on anybody that you choose to follow as there are tons of Internet marketers that claim that they are making millions and then their products and advice are absolute garbage!
