Want to know if a very large mucus discharge with brown in it means anything?

I'm 39 weeks and 2 days along.... and after that discharge came started having really bad cramps and I'm wondering if I should call my doctor and go to the hospital or what... because I also have that Group B strep...

At this point, I'd contact your doctor. S/he'll advise you on what to do next. You are most likely in the beginning stages of labor. What you experienced was probably the start of your bloody show. Its highly likely you'll notice more discharge with more blood in it over the next couple hours or so (the brown was old blood). Active labor typically starts within 24 hours of your bloody show, so the process is starting. GOOD LUCK!

It is probably your mucous plug coming out and you are very likely in labor. Call your doctor and good luck!!

It sounds like you lost your mucous plug and may be going into labor. those cramps could be contractions, so yes, definitely call your doctor. he or she will be able to tell you for certain whether or not to go to the hospital.

go to the doctor, u could be in labor, if not its just the mucus plug, bloody show

sounds like you lost your mucus plug. Until the cramps start getting in a pattern I would wait to go to the hospital cause if your still to early in labour they will send you home. You can lose your mucus plug days or even weeks before labour begins but sounds like your close. Time the cramps they say if there 3-5 minutes apart lasting 40 seconds for an hour is when my doctor told me to go to the hospital. Good luck

Brown usually means old blood - i've had a good few shows of this.
But this very large mucus thing is sounding very like your official show.

Think you should to have your hospital bag ready to grab and keep the maternity updated. I'd say your bundle of joy will be with you within the next few days (or day)
