On any loan whenever you add extra money to a payment, mark on your coupon or statement the extra that is to go toward principle. Meaning write out the amount and print toward principle. All coupons and payment statements usually have a separate line. If it doesn't then note it

It can really save you some money to just get an automobile loan estimate online to check out what the going rates are. You might be really happy. Also if your credit is not good, a lot of them are more able to work with people.

What I usually tell folks is that an online quote at http://autoloan.saverightnow.info is what I would do.

When you are paying any loan back, they figure all of the interest up and make you pay on that first. That way if you default, they'll have not lost profit in a bankruptcy. If it is supposed to take you three years to pay the loan back for example, you won't start paying on the principle for like 6-11 months depending on the interest. You have to pay it all anyway, so this might not even matter.
