Someone please tell me the name of this fish?

I was in alaska this summer and one of my friends caught a fish..

its quite large, covered with poisonous spikes, and he used a welders glove to throw it back. i believe the fish has two words in the name, and one of the words is saint (im probably mistaken) but i want to say saint or royal. or something along those lines.

sorry i cant remember anything more about the details.

it was caught in the pacific ocean, i believe they were fishing for halibut and caught this by accident

oops.... i know it wasnt a type of rock fish. i am very familiar with rock/cod

maybe it had the word queen in it... i have no idea. this is really bothering me. and im in iceland now and cant get in contact with the person who caught it.

a lion fish in alaska? no way... haha. was it freshwater or saltwater? that is a very vital piece of info...

Its probably a rock cod( also call rock fish) or a type of sculpin. I would not know the exact species because there is 50 plus types of rock fish and over 300 species of sculpin. Of course, almost all rock cod are very good eating.

Edit: Then it could be a type of sculpin. There are many deep sea types of these fish. There the only other fish I know of that have spines and are poisonous( aside from tropical species)
