I went thru the same thing that you did, but your lucky you were told you could take so much... lol

I am not sure what Robetessin DM (spelled wrong) focuses on. That was the only thing I was told I was allowed to have! Look into that medication, but other than that I don't know :( very limited medicene that can be taken.

Sorry hun, wish I coulda been more help!

Sinus infection at 24 weeks...Any suggestions?

awww yuck!! Im 27 weeks and have one, and have been to the doctors. Theer are anitbiotics you can take which ARE safe during pregnancy. There are also saline sprays to help clear the sinuses which are also safe to use, but always get these through your doctor, they know whats best!

ive had 3 or 4 of them through my pregnancy so far, this is the worst one yet. But up until this one I used a vicks steam inhalation which my doc recommeded - use vicks in a metal or glass bowl with hot water, place a towel over your head, and close one nostril while breathing in deeply through the other, repeat until you feel your nose blocked, then blow your nose and repeat with other nostril. It does help!
Also if your temples or forehead are sore try lying with a warm facecloth on your head.

I suffer from chronic migraines and sinus infections myself, I know how you feel. You can rinse your nose with saline solution. Wait a bit, then blow your nose, it will loosen up the mucus. If you have an infection didn't you get a prescription? Elevate your bed if possible. Making a tent with previously boiled water and a towel over your head for 5-10 mins can help.A warm shower as well could help. A cold mist humidifier at night may bring you relief as well. Ask a pharmacist for nasal strips for the night, they could bring you relief. Keep taking the tylenol, the respected dosage will not harm the baby. Trust me, I have a lot of experience in that department, Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.

Sinus infection at 24 weeks...Any suggestions?

REAL plain sudafed, the kind behind the pharmacy counter works well and is on my OB's list of approved meds. Warm moist heat packs to your sinus area, saline nasal spray are good too. If nothing else works, call your Ob and ask for a script for a painkiller that he approves. Better to take a little something than suffer. I've been there this week too, now much better. 26 weeks!
