Always ask how much the service going to be before they do anything to your head. If you don't agree with their prices, you have the option of not rendering their services. But if they honestly butcher your hair, demand to see the manager or owner of the salon. Tell them what you asked for and they should be able to see the obvious difference in what you ended up with. If possible tell them you want a different stylist to fix it, if that's not possible tell the manager you are refusing to pay and if they have a problem with it, they can speak to your lawyer. Get everyone's names before you leave. Take after photos and call a lawyer. They can't call the police, they would have to sue you in court. Theft of service is harder to prove since it's intangible. But a matter of just not liking a cut should be taken up with the manager, it depends on how bad to justify a walk-out. I've had to do it a few times and I was forced to sue once. But I will never pay for a service I didn't receive.
