Parents: how would you react if your 12 year old child told you...?

Parents: how would you react if your 12 year old child told you...?

Postby Charm996 on Fri Oct 23, 2009 4:05 pm

I'd want to know where they were getting the blood, I'd get them tested for blood borne diseases, and then I'd get them in counseling.

I do love my child, and if she told me she was gay, or a vegitarian (so unnatural, LOL), I'd go with it.

But vampirism - if that is a word - is not normal, natural, or safe. When someone joins some cult activity, there is something else at play, and I think I owe to to her to find out what the problem is, and get to the bottom of it.

And the thing is, there are some groups that are really into this, and they drink each others blood. So don't just dismiss it, investigate.

I've always said I'd love and accept them, but i meant healthy behaviors and lifestyles. This doesn't fall into that catagory.

Therapy would be high on my list of daily to do's

It's most likely a phase and they will grow out of it, if they don't then I guess that's who your child is choosing to be, and you should still love them despite their lifestyle choices.
The thing you should really be concerned about is the blood drinking, like what kind of blood is it? Is it from a person? If so you need to talk to your child about blood-borne diseases and get them to a doctor for testing.

I would take them for medical evaluation in a hospital. they drink blood? then they need help. That "drinking blood" thing may be a cult. You never know and there is a lot of nasty things in blood. Plus where does that blood comes from?
