One simple question about laminate wood flooring?

Hello, I purchased about 12 boxes of laminate wood flooring from Lumber Liquidators, and when laying some of the pieces side by side I happened to notice that most of the pieces have the exact same design. It is really noticable since I chose the "Swedish Maple" design which is really light, and it has a dark part in either the middle or the right side of each piece, so this really sticks out.

Usually the laminate wood flooring I see has a totally random pattern so is it normal that there are only about two or three different patterns of wood? I think that it would make it easy for someone to tell that it is fake considering that every piece looks totally identical to the one near it.

If it is the same exact pattern there's not a lot you can do. Just make sure to stagger your boards. That will definitely keep the eyes moving and detract from the pattern. :)

yep....most only have a couple of different patterns......nature of the beast.....and anyone trying to fool you into thinking it looks like real wood...is not familiar with both....laminate is usually selected for it's ease of install and low maintinence....quick and easy....but still looks nice.

Generally you get what you pay for. Liquidators are in business to sell what did not sell in the retail store.
