Yes, I still do. Other people need to believe it too for it to work.

However, I do also believe that people should not have to continue in abusive violent relationships and there is sometimes a neeed for divorce.

There will always be a debate on that. I believe in it for my own marriage. I can't speak on the rest of the world's. I don't buy into status quot or statistics. I never have been that type of person. I like to go against the odds and so does my husband.

If I got married then I would mean it...unless I were cheated on or beaten or anything, then I would go.

I think most people who get married do mean it, it just doesn't work out quite how they hoped. I do think it's good we have the option of divorce compared to previous generations, usually that just meant people were trapped in abusive or unhappy relationships, not remaining in love until death.

I agree with what Piggy says, I would trust myself to mean it, but not anybody else.

People are only human and if "Till death do you part" means just that; then it is no wonder that women stay in abusive relationships until they are simply murdered by their abuser. I do not believe people should get divorced because the guy leaves the seat up or the woman burns the bacon ok? There are what I like to call: Valid Reasons?
