Need sum beach fishing tips on how to use lures?

will be used a 16 foot beach rod



wen im using a lure what techniques would i have to use to maximise the use of the lure - and how would i go about doing this technique



will it be difficult performing this with the size of the rod?

hey Matt I found these two pretty informative sites after I read you were in Australia on your last question. Top water bass baits work all over the world like zara spooks and lucky 13's big poppers and chuggers you won't have much problem casting them out with that big of a rod but it might work against you if you are facing a brisk wind. I hope you enjoy the experience and remember this: if you feel anything other than nothing, set the hook, twice. It's a fish.
Matt, an update on using artificial squid baits from shore: I was informed that on the eastern seaboard here in the U S. That there are squid often caught from shore and a very formidable bait for the species quite aware their of their shoreline presence! I must suggest in the light of this info I would try it with certain positive expectations.
