My new husband said he's a stockbroker, but after the wedding, we've lived in his mom's basement. Is this odd?

He just told me that I was his trophy wife and it made me feel like a princess on a pedestal. I envisioned a mansion, a boat, and fast Porches. Now we sleep on a 2 foot wide cot that we must lay sideways on or fall off. I usually wind up on the floor after we do the nasty.

I'm respectable. I did not want to live with him or let him touch me before marriage. The 1st time I met his mom was at the wedding. The reception was upstairs and she patted me on the back and said she wants 10 grandchildren. I said. "Ok."

Yeah it's odd. Just like it's odd that you would marry a man you clearly know nothing about.

You are aware that the market sucks due to the recession, aren't you? Maybe you should have discussed this before the wedding.

Good job marrying someone you knew nothing about, including where he lives. What's wrong with you?

He said he's a stockbroker. He didn't say he was a good one.

Basement dwellers are the most sought after high society group we have today. How did you get so lucky?
