Maybe I'm wrong here, but don't you expect?

Usually in a couple, especially a younger couple, don't you usually expect the girl to be equal or better looking than the guy?

Well I saw one of my old highschool buddies last night, and he was with who assumed is his wife (they both had rings on). And I'm not saying I would go gay for him but he is clearly better looking that she is.

I'm not saying I'm only dating pretty girls, but lets be honest here. The guy is expected (most of the time) to pay for the dates, or at least go half and half, the guy usually does the asking out, and there is a lot on the guy at first. So is he going to ask out the pretties first or the ugly ones?

If you are in love, sometimes it doesn't matter what a person looks like. I have dated other people who were considered way better looking than my husband. But in my eyes, he is the best looking guy ever. its the total package.

No it's about the same. The guys with ugly women just kinda hide a little more.

Not at all. I just expect that, no matter what a person looks like, the person they are with sees some shining quality within them.

but, to answer your question, its actually nature's way to have the women be more attractive than the guy. this way the man is less inclined to stray.

plus, women tend to be with someone not only for looks, but for their personalities and ability to provide, the latter often overriding the looks

I wonder if you just think that the women are better looking than their men because you like women. I really can't say that I've seen a lot of couples where I thought the woman was better looking than the man - I guess that's because I like men.

So, maybe it's just a perspective thing...?

There is no set answer. First, we are all attracted to different people physically. Second, if we are truly in love, the inner beauty of the person overshadows the outer appearance. Like one woman said, other people may not even see how attractive they are. But to your heart and soul, he or she is the most beautiful person in the world. That is called true love.

Keep cranking away at this J and you will become very, very, very, envious of your friend.

You have to take this in the wasted-drunk-fraternity state it was said in.. but one of my college buddies actually said the following regarding his fiancee: "She looks like a troll.... but I don't care!"

Maybe I'm wrong here, but don't you expect?
