Lawn business for sale...good deal?

Lawn business for sale...good deal?

Postby aaronrreagle on Fri Oct 23, 2009 2:41 am

Here is an add for a lawn business I am looking into. I don't know a whole lot about what this kind of stuff goes for. Is this a good price for the equipment?

Also, where can I find lawn businesses for sale online?

And how much do lawns go for when they are sold?

About fifteen residentials lawns

Double axle mowing trailer, eighteen foot

-One Scag walk behind 52" deck

-One John Deere f525, 48" deck

_One echo weed eater

_ one husqavarna push mower

What was the price?

Consider how much new equipment costs and figure how much use the equipment has gone through. Have the machines inspected by a qualified mechanic. You do not want to waste money on junk.

Forget the residential lawns. They might not sign a contract with you. In my opinion, the residential lawns are a null factor.

the equipment is reasonable but the question remains, just cause he says there are 15 residentail lawns does not mean that all 15 will stay with you. most people who find that there lawn guy sells their business they go looking for other people, if you buy this lawn service you may find that all may stay with you or none may stay with you the customer has a choice to stay or find another. something to think about

Lawn business for sale...good deal?

You can find lawn care businesses for sale on craigslist most likely. But the question you have to ask yourself is why?

What does it take to make a few flyers and hand them out in your area. Start small with a push mower and see if you like doing it. You may but you might not and it's better taking small steps than handing over a lot of money to test it out.

If you do decide to proceed with looking into buying this lawn care business there are a bunch of issues you need to consider.

Here is one "General rule of thumb for buying customers is that they are worth about 1 month revenue." I will list the source below, there are a lot more issues to read about.
