Ladies! apparently my old country is too conservative, so what is the line between cheating and normal friend?

I came from a country that is very conservative when it comes to relationships between the opposite genders

My friends told me that I am too conservative who picks things out of nothing

Like, a kiss means marriage, and when two standing close together they are in a relationship

I am about to start a relationship and wonder where the line set between what normal friends do, like hugging, and outright cheating, like sleeping together

what is the line set between a normal behavior and an abnormal behavior?

i don't want be the conservative control freak nor do i want to be the guy who just ignores the danger and let others take advantage of me

i am perfectly at accepting new stuff, like i don't feel weird when people kiss in high school hall ways next to me, so no rule is too much for me

and it is only rules for girls, I know my part

and i am in early 20s and looking for a woman of similar age

p.s. i am asian, so my parents were control freaks to make sure i am not in any relationship before...

hugging can mean 'just friends' or a relationship, depends on how you are hugging the person.
kissing is usually relationship.
standing close together is nothing, it can mean friends, it can mean relationship and it can mean strangers.
sleeping together is usually relationship unless you're doing the thing 'friends with benefits', or it's a one night stand (which is bad).

if she kisses or sleeps with another person, it is considered as cheating. hugging is not cheating, because they could be just friends.

I'm Indian so I could possibly help when it comes to modesty's standards.

You can give a brief hug to a friend (unless she is crying or otherwise severely emotionally wrecked then you hold for as long as possible.)

Kisses on the cheek for a friend maybe appropriate depending on the person and their specific culture (ie. Latin Americans like to kiss everyone on their cheeks in my experience.)

Otherwise, kissing is saved for your girlfriend, so is cuddling and hand holding for long periods of time.

(Of course though, there are exceptions to all rules, you can give your mother a peck on the lips or cuddle a small child if they are crying.)

Overall, it's important to have modesty. Don't touch up girls or other people, or they will label you a perv.

I think at time it can really depend, but in general if a girl is kissing a guy more so than just a kiss on the cheek you should definitely regard that as cheating. Hugging and such really isn't considered to be cheating, as many girls have really close guy friends they do this with. In my opinion however if a girl is spending more time with any one guy than she is you, you may have reason to be concerned. Basically to avoid such danger you should just have a conversation with your girl about what you do and do not consider cheating that way its all clear and she knows where YOU draw the line, because in any relationship conversation is key.

-Touching eachother anywhere that is considered sexual
