is this weird or is it just me?

back in high school some guy who had the same class as me added me on facebook. we never talked to each other but i figured w/e, not a big deal & accepted the friend request.



it's been awhile, i'm in college now & all of the sudden he contacts me out of nowhere saying he wants to get to know me better & even invited me to go to the movies some night. i don't really know where he's going with this & i thought about asking him why he suddenly decided to contact me now, but idk how to ask without putting him on the spot & making it awkward.



suggestions?



tentatively i said i would go but i get the feeling he wants to be more than friends. bad idea to back out now? or good before i accidentally lead him the wrong way?

your instinct is probably right. Are you interested in getting to know this guy? I'd say just be upfront with this guy, a moment of awkwardness isn't so bad if your finding out what you really want to know. Don't lead him on if your not interested. and possibly he just wants to be friends with you, because he thinks your such a cool person.
