Is there a free online brokerage service.?

If yes, how safe is it..., I just opened a "sharebuilder" account, they charge per transaction. And some accounts have maintenance fee per month. So am getting second thoughts about using sharebuilder. How about scott trade/e-trade, do they allow free transactions and no maintenance fee. How safe are they ? I am just starting to invest. I am a total noob when it comes to investing. Any advice is really appreciated.

No. EVERY brokerage charge $$$, because it COSTS $$$ to trade ont he exchanges. Discount brokers can go as low as $5 per trade. But There ain't no free trades, except maybe 3 trades as a trial offer with opening of new account.

i heard sogotrade.com gives 100 free trades for new member, but it sounds to good to be true, and then $3 dollars for per trade after that, then 25 free trades for referrals. im in scottrade, i think you get your money worth if you buy cheap you get cheap, but you never know, check both and more out,
scottrade.com has no inactivity fees and really no hidden fees or other fees, just $7 per trade that's final, heres a code for 3 free trades we both get 3:VNQP7030

if scottrade is safe?, i think they are pretty safe, iv never had any problems, no extra fees exept the trading fee its self, 7 to buy 7 to sell so $14 all toghether, they have easy ways to fund your account with checks or wire and they have 436 actual locations in the nation, they help you find your local branch when you sign up come on by to stockgoodies.com if you have more help needed, we have members in all types of online brokers

What is the question is this? Without getting Brokerage how the broker will earn? First tell me Will u do business without having a profit? Earn money and Leave others to Earn money.
