How much does it snow in the winter in this city? Do they close down everything when the snow gets really bad?

Yes I think Colorado Springs is a good place to live. Where I lived they did not close down things unless the weather was really, really bad. Mostly the bad weather happens up north.

Colorado Springs is fantastic...supe clean, beyond beautiful, great location...you will love it. Some winters have little snow, some have a lot. There are usually 3 or 4 big storms a year. Takes a heck of a big snow to close down Colorado Springs! does happen once in a while.

The "Springs" is a great place. Home to the Air Force Academy as well as the U.S. Olympic Complex. It is the headquarters for the U.S. Olympic Committee administration and the Olympic Training Center programs.
The snowfall varies but very rarely does it reach the level of closing much of the city down. They are used to snow and know how to deal with it. Also, the Coloradans know how to drive in it!! I think CS is one of the nicest cities in the entire US!
