if i sign up for a walmart credit card to buy a computer?

the computer cost 378 plus 97 cent shipping etc but if i buy the computer and sign up for a card which says no interest in 12 months with purchases over 299 and I pay this computer off in 12 months will i owe anything for having the credit card opened?

no. but only if you pay it off in 12 months. Paying the minimum payment every month won't get the job done. You have to pay more than that. Interest from the balance is added to every payment so if you pay more every month you pay less interest. Watch it though credit cards are very tempting.

It says no interest, but does it say no FEES as well? Sometimes credit cards charge you monthly or annual fees even if you don't use them at all.

I don't know any details about the Walmart credit card. Read all the fine print very carefully before you sign any agreement.

Although that 12 months no interest sounds tempting, by paying the minimum each month you will be facing a huge bill in about 1 year.

You must make much more than that minimum payment.
Break up the price into 11 months, and pay that much each month.
Also, miss one payment or be late and the interest rate will go through the roof, not to mention the 12 month freebie will be over.
