I live in a duplex and can smell my neighbor's dryer. Does that means the hose has excess lint in it?

I can smell my dryer outside, as well. I think that is pretty common.

dont listen to a chick. One the ducts are clear at least haha. Two; if your smelling the dryer either the hose is off, has a hole, they do not clean the filter or the hose needs to be scraped clean.

It is probably the dryer sheet you smell--I wouldnt worry.

plain and simple. if your doors and windows are closed and you smell it then their dryer duct leaks. no other possibilities. if it is electric dryer no real problem other than smell. if it is a gas dryer......
well can you say carbon monoxide?
