I just started a job as a bank teller, what should I wear?

I want to know what's appropriate as far as dress code in a bank. I have 2 suits but I don't really want to go and purchase 3 more. Are dress pants and a sweater or solid colored shirt suitable?

Well when in doubt, I always say to dress a bit more formally than usual in the beginning to make a good first impression. It is usually more comfortable for a person to be overdressed than underdressed. Maybe start out for a few days with a suit, then tone it down to suit pants with a nice shirt. It really depends from bank to bank, but dress pants with a nice polo or other collared shirt work fine for me :) Good luck and always triple count your money! haha

Banks usually ask for "business attire." Dress pants and solid colored shirt sound fine, as long as it's not a casual t-shirt. You can always wear the suits the first couple of days and check out what the other tellers are wearing.

Most banks have a dress code that ranges from slightly formal to strictly formal....

The easiest way to describe it: Dress like you make a million bucks and prefer subdued colors.

Or.... walk into any bank that is comparable with yours (including your own branch) and take a look at how your future colleagues are dressed.

Enter the code exactly as it appears. All letters are case insensitive, there is no zero.
