of course you should celebrate. while he is sad for himself, he also should be glad for you. whether he goes to help you celebrate or not is pretty much up to him, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with you feeling good about what you have accomplished.

Yes you should be able to celebrate but do it with your girlfriends so he doesn't feel like you are rubbing it in his face. Also, you have this posted in "Weddings" and I'm pretty sure this is in no way wedding related.
