Actually, you don't have to diet in fact in order to lose weight, the sole thing which really worked for me was green tea, it can be viewed in the resource box below, they have a limited number of free trials remaining, it was reported in Fox News and CNN. I shed twenty pounds, it really does work!

Yes oatmeal is carbs. If you do a strict zero carb diet you will lose tons of weight fast, as long as your calories are also low. But the downside is you will lose muscle as well as fat, and you will feel tired and weak for a while until you adapt. I lost 2 pounds a day by eating only tuna and drinking only water. I lost a total of 40 pounds and kept it all off.

Is this the best place to ask?
There are so many specifically dedicated sites where you can get all the expert advice you could ever need.
Mind you, doing the small amount of research needed to find said information WOULD require a bit more of an effort on your part than just posting a vague query here on Y/A.
It really depends how serious you are about getting in shape.
