How do you make pumpkin pie from real pumpkins?

I have carved my pumkins, now how do I make this mushy guts into pie/bars? Any good ideas?

The "guts" are not used for making pies. You just throw them out. Use the pumpkin for the pie. Peel it and cut it up into cubes. Boil them until soft and mashable. Mash, and use in place of canned pumpkin in your recipes.

You need a sugar pumpkin.Regular jack o lantern arent good to cook. You also do not use the stringy stuff and seeds to cook. You cube the pumpkin shell and cook that,

You don't use field pumpkins for pie,those are for jack-o-lanterns.You need a pie pumpkin.To make a real pumpkin pie, you have to peel the pumpkin, dice it in about 1 inch cubes, and cook it in some water til its tender. Drain well and puree the pulp.Then, add milk,sugar and pie spices like you would if you were using canned pumpkin.Put the mix in a prepared pie shell and bake.
