How could I make a complaint to Animal Planet regarding Dogs 101? Have any of you done so?

How could I make a complaint to Animal Planet regarding Dogs 101? Have any of you done so?

I've seen commercials stating that their new season of Dogs 101 would feature some "designer breeds." I thought that was a cool idea: give people who have crossbreeds some good information about their pets. I also thought it would promote adoption from shelters and show that purebreds aren't really "better" that mutts.

However, I finally saw one of these episodes. I was expecting some kind of disclaimer explaining that you should never buy a crossbreed from a breeder, or at least something along the lines of, "You can find this crossbreed at a shelter!" But I didn't see or hear anything of the sort.

How would I go making a complaint or a suggestion about their possible promotion of BYBs and puppymills? Is there an address I can write to? What should I say? Maybe we could pitch an idea about Animal Planet doing a special on puppymills and BYBs -- I'm sure that would get a lot of viewers.

Yuck. I saw the commercials for that too, and was totally appalled. You can sent the network a message via this link:

contact animal planet directly, and I would send a letter to http://stoppuppymills.org/ and http://www.aspca.org/fight-animal-cruelty/puppy-mills/
I am not sure but Oprah originally brought national attentionn on her show,so has dateline. They may have interest to revisit the issue.

Animal Planet did a special about puppy mills just this past week...last weekend, I think. It was heartbreaking as are the Animal Cops shows.

You probably could get an address where to write them from their website at www.animalplanet.com

I haven't seen those commercials, but I am not a fan of the show as it is. I have seen a few episodes and almost every one had inaccurate information on it. There have also been questions on here about episodes that have given questionable information.
I swear they use Wikipedia for research.

Go to the website, there should be an email address.

Dogs 101 is a popular show, and it's full of misinformation about dogs of EVERY breed. Complain all you want-if the show draws advertisers, that's all AP cares about.
