How can I get to sleep easier?

Recently, I've been having a really hard time going to sleep. I've tried everything from doing yoga moves before bed to taking really hot showers right before i get in bed. I used to not have any trouble sleeping, but now I could stay up for hours tossing & turning while I'm trying to go to sleep. Is there any foolproof way of going to bed & getting a good sleep? If so, please tell me!

P.S. Sleeping pills & hot milk don't work for me

well, there is a variety of ways that you can go to help this problem whether you take prescription pills or just work yourself out to to no end. I tend to have the same problem. Benadryl is a pill that is known for its sleeping effect as well as its effect on allergies. A warm bath with lavender oils can also be a help as lavender scent tends to soothe people. you can also try to maybe do a cardio workout which will raise your heart rate which will probably wear you out as well as make you sweat or some herbal hot tea. I hope this helps if not you may have to resort to prescription pills.

i have the same problem!!! you could have a sleeping disorder or you could be consuming to much sugars during the day. watch what you eat and make sure its not full in sugars. If this doesnt work talk to your doctor about a possible sleeping disorder.

excersise seems to be one of the best ways to combat insomnia. If you walk at a fairly fast pace and work up a sweat for about 20 minutes to half an hour every day, you might find that you are genuinely tired at the end of the day, maybe even too tired to be thinking whether youll be able to sleep or not and worrying yourself unessesarily which only adds to the problem. Try to clear your head of any negative thoughts before bedtime, try to think of something comforting and focus on that. i hope it works for you! :)
Its at least worth a shot, it worked for me.

The Best Way Is You Do Exercise and Walk Properly,Try to do Brisk Walk Daily 45 Minutes in The Morning and 45 Minutes in the Evening,Do Some Meditations this Will Help in Keeping Your Mind Cool and Stress free Befor Going to bed Drink One Glass Of Water,I'll tell You By Doing this Routine Daily You'll Definately get good Sleep at night.
