It really depends on what type of skin you have. I put makeup on and when I don't wash my face I have lots of Zits and Blackheads.

If you don't want to use any medications or creams than every morning and night , Wash your face with warm or hot water. It works really well. ;) lol. I hope this made sence. Godd look with this.

Lay low on unhealthy foods, now I'm not saying foods with fat because you need fat. I'm just saying unhealthy foods, like fast food, junk food, etc. Drink water, 8 glasses a day baby. Wash your face twice a day, never too much or else you'll wash away the needed stuff on it. Try out some acne cleansers if you wanna. Remember to keep your hair clean & out of your face. Never pick or pop your pimples, that will just cause redness & bleeding. Don't touch your face too much. Exercise more, it will cause sweating but sweating is actually good for you. Anyway I know how you feel about acne, it sucks & all that. I have it too. But I've been using acne cleansers & they've helped tame my level of acne. Sometimes it made my skin really dry so I try moisturizing often. I've stopped for now but my skin feels & looks better. Best of luck with yours. :).

St. Ives products are all natural. No chemicals. But, you have to use SOMETHING to get rid of pimples and blackheads, they don't go away by themselves. If you don't, you will have scars.

Steam your face over a bowl of steaming boiled water, cover your head completely with a towel so the steam can't escape. Wait about ten to fifteen minutes and you should be able to gently squeeze the blackheads out. Good luck!.
Always use hot soapy water when you wash your face and rinse with cold water. The hot water opens the pores, the cold closes them.

The only way I've found to get rid of zits and blackheads is to practice a good skin care regime every day. That means keeping your skin clean by using a cleanser and an astringent or toner for your specific skin type twice a day. Then weekly or twice a week, the frequency depends on your skin sensitivity, a microdermabrasion scrub (I like Neutrogena's or any of those with very fine particles) with lots of water on wet skin, concentrating on the areas plagued by blackheads and avoiding the areas around my eyes or where skin is sensitive. You cannot go to bed with makeup on and should look for a base that is non-comedomic and water based so it doesn't cause more zits or blackheads.

There are more than one type of ingredients to clear up zits and blackheads found in cleansers and astringents---you may need to experiment to see if your skin does better with salicylic acid or another ingredient.

Drink lots of water, keep your hands off of your face, and if you use moisturizer pick one with no fragrance and is designed for acne prone skin types.

On the Mayo Clinic website, an article concerning natural treatments for acne has this to say: "Though evidence is limited, some natural acne treatments may be helpful in reducing inflammation and reducing acne breakouts.

Tea tree oil. Some studies suggest that gels containing 5 percent tea tree oil are as effective as are lotions containing 5 percent benzoyl peroxide, although tea tree oil might work more slowly. For some people, tea tree oil may cause a skin reaction known as contact dermatitis. There's also some concern that topical products containing tea tree oil might cause breast development in young boys. Don't use tea tree oil if you have acne rosacea because it can worsen symptoms.

Zinc supplements. The mineral zinc plays a role in wound healing and reduces inflammation, which could help improve acne. Taking a zinc supplement with food may reduce side effects, including a bad taste in your mouth and nausea. Zinc can also be added to lotions or creams and may reduce acne breakouts.

Glycolic acid. A natural acid found in sugar cane, glycolic acid applied to your skin helps remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Glycolic acid may also improve the appearance of acne scars. Glycolic acid can cause redness, mild stinging and skin irritation."
