Has anyone ever lost weight by giving up Diet Coke or diet soda?

Has anyone ever lost weight by giving up Diet Coke or diet soda?

New research suggests that there is a correlation between being overweight and being a Diet Coke drinker. I know correlation is not causation. But, I've had such a hard time losing weight and drink Diet Coke every day (probably 4 cans a day or so). I know it is not healthy and have tried to kick the habit, but the withdrawals actually make me sick.

If you have noticed weight loss, health improvements, etc. by giving up diet soda, I would love to hear about it. Also, how did you do it without getting sick?

thats what I heard. I read about a study that shows that on average people lose 10-15 lbs just by giving up diet soda and not changing other dietary habits. I'm not gonna look for the study but I'm sure you could find it on google or something.

It is a lie.Diet doesn't necessarily mean will lose weight. Every drink, food, and anything else needs to be taken in moderation.

Simple, one will still gain weight intaking diet sodas.

Instead of drinking about 4 cans a day, try one regular soda a day.

Cutting Diet drinks does not make you lose weight, you just lose the 'bloat'

Don't give it up all at once.

If you normally have 4 a day, drop it down to 2 or so. Then go for one a day, every other day and so on. Then you can stop drinking them period...I've done it. I didn't have not one sip of soda for over a year. Once you get used to not drinking them, you won't crave one. I never even cared to drink one. It makes you have more energy, and with a little exercise, you may drop a few lbs.
