any brand name is ok. but make sure it is either oak, maple, teak, birch. the rest do not hold up well. so go to home depot and buy the cheapest brand name. but be sure it is hardwood. birch, oak, and maple tend to be cheaper than teak or bamboo. also i'm not really fond of bamboo. it isn't as durable as the others. oh yeah i forgot. walnut is fine too.
