Filipino taxi drivers?

Filipino taxi drivers?

Postby BALONEY on Sat Oct 24, 2009 12:43 am

How long would a Filipino taxi driver last in Los Angeles with the driving habits he has and uses in the Philippines?

Would he be shot first before he wrecks his taxi or will he get pulled out of it and beat up?

Hey! Here is somebody else that has noticed that & wondered the same thing. Have you thought about how many OFW go to Saudi as a driver? ha ha so funny.
But to answer your question.
All of the above. Yes they would be shot, wrecked & beat up.

Really, is that how violent the people in L.A? Don't you have any traffic policeman there? Here in the Philippines, these taxi drivers are just apprehended and issued citation tickets and not being shot or beaten up. What a barbaric place do you have there.

He will be issued a ticket. Maybe enough times for his license to be ultimately cancelled. At least that is how I imagine it in a civilized world. Unless you are saying that people in LA are pre-historic and have no idea about systems.

Conversely, the LA taxi driver who brings his driving habits to Manila and gets to a rather busy intersection without traffic lights will most likely stay there forever.

He can do anything in the Philippines but in the US he'll be better careful those traffic lights have CAMERAS! When cops are not around the mouse can't escape.
