........... erythromycin liquid?

hi i been taking erythromycin for about a month and a half now for my cyctic acne........ it is powder they mixed with water to make it a liquid because i cant swallow pills....the whole time i did not refridgerate the med because the dumb pharmacist told me not too... i just found out that it needs to be refridgerated does this make a difference in the way the med was working the whole time??

hard to say. if the person said no then maybe not. call another pharmacy and ask. but hey i'd say if someone took the times to put a warning label on it i would listen to it!!!

I'm pretty sure Erythromycin is an antibiotic which is taken over a coarse of 10 days. Should be refrigerated and shaken well before each dose. I don't know of any Erythromycin that is taken for a month, but you should go back and check with your pharmacist. If they are unsure, go to your doctor. It is a possibility they read the script wrong.

The erythromycin that comes in liquid form is refrigerated. But you don't have that, you have the powdered form you mix yourself. I assume that you must being mixing a dosage each time you are required to take it. The powder just needs to be kept in a cool place.
