does paper clog the toilet?

i just flushed a piece of lined paper down the toilet. is it going to clog or what? im scared.

btw im being serious plz not joke answers because this is not a joke

and i dont mean toilet paper its school paper

Yes, it can clog the sewer lines deep under the house. It is never a good idea to flush anything down the toilet except for toilet paper. You can end up with a rather large plumbing bill. Use a trash can instead.

I hope it goes through. You may not know for quite a while though, because what happens is it creates a snag where debris catches and piles up, leading to an eventual clog.

If it flushed down the toilet without a problem and did not back up, it should not clog. Once the paper is wet it will shred and disintegrate.
