Do you think it's right for a person to get a dog?

It is fine if a person gets a dog while living in a rental.
But for they should no re home there dog when they move. They should find a place that will allow dogs.

I don't think that dogs are disposable either and I hate it when people treat them that way. However, I do understand that sometimes life gets in the way. Not everyone who has to rehome their dog has a choice and they feel like they are losing a member of their family.

That is so sad and wrong of someone to do. Not only will the owner miss the dog but the dog will miss the owner too. If they didn't want the responsibility then they shouldn't of got the pet in the first place. Although re homing a dog is better than getting it put to sleep. And if there is more than one pet to re home and they get separated that breaks my heart.

I live in a rental and I've been here for 4 years so I'm secure here and don't have to move anytime soon. But if for some reason I did have to move, I would only move somewhere that allowed pets. And I would keep looking until I found a home that allowed pets, never would I leave my pets behind. I don't understand how people can do that it seems like such a heartless thing to do.

The worst I've heard is when people move houses and get there pets put to sleep. I know of someone who went on a 2 year holiday and gave one of their pets away, and put the other one to sleep because they thought he would be vicious with strangers. Now that's sad. The dog that got given away will be missing not only the owners but the other dog who he'd shared a home with for over 5 years. If I had to get rid of my dogs to go on a holiday it wouldn't be worth it. I'd rather have my precious dogs any day. They are part of the family, how can you give one of your family members away.

Also I think people who buy dogs just for security reasons are disgusting.
