Do you think Im crazy for having my house look spring-like in the winter time?

I have a cute house and i have always loved cute bunnies, pastels, and the whole cottage, shabby chic look to my home. I feel strange having my house look like this in the fall and im sure i will feel even more strange in the winter time. Is it common to change your house decor for every season or is it ok to have a spring-theme throughout your house all year long. Now, i dont mean that i have easter stuff in my house, just spring colors.. :/

My mother is into pastels........pinks and whites mostly. She'd add a few extras for seasonal interest.........Christmas was more pastel items than red and green, Fall was pretty much ignored as she can't stand oranges.

So do what makes you feel good. You can add seasonal items if you feel necessary. Mom's sister never changed a thing in her house, 365 days a year. If she changed a table centerpiece, it stayed there months or years before a new one came around.

That's the great thing about having your own house - - you make the rules! :D If you feel like decorating seasonally, experiment. Maybe you'll do something else next year.
One lady I knew had an antique bassinet where she kept her teddy bears. Another lady (quite old) arranged her old dolls into what she called a slumber party on her spare bed. If you do something like this, you can still have the bunnies but you'll get more room for seasonal decorations. I've seen lots of seasonal stuffed animals, so you could pick up some of those if you want to keep your theme of bunnies.
Whatever you do, feel free to have a good time and enjoy decorating!

Many people living in areas with four definate seasons will change something up in their houses to brighten them up because of the dull and dreary grey skies throughout the winter snowy season. You are lucky to have a bright and cheery home already! Yours will bring a great smile to your face (and visitors) in midwinter. You get to decide if you want to add/omit/change accessories each season...you do not have to...no rules!
