do you feel like you just CAN'T lose weight?

I have been chubby since i was 8 yrs old (now im 27). i have been lucky to have big boobs which has given me an hour glass figure but i am still overweight. i started working out when i was in high school and i always seem to lose maybe 10 lbs then fall off the wagon.

last yr i had a trainer and lost 15 lbs but it took me 3 mnths. i then moved to europe for a bit and gained it all back.

im back now and want to start again but am feeling like it's just hopeless. anyone have a success story? i don't want to be THIN, i just want to still be curvy...but not fat!

Hi! My advice is getting your metabolism going. If you've always carried extra weight, your body needs a jumpstart! Regular yoga teaches deep and regular breathing which is great for your body.

I'd say start taking up yoga from a real, dedicated teacher (not just a gym rat teacher) AND pick an activity you really like - maybe you're inspired by Whip It and want to do roller derby. Maybe you love to kayak or hike. Maybe you want to try Brazilian dancing, or a treadmill. Whatever grabs your interest, start doing aerobic exercise 3xs week, to start. That way it's fun, you're learning something so your brain's engaged, and you'll be losing weight.

Yoga is good for weight loss, as well as kicking up your metabolism. Deep breathing is very healthy for you as well. It's a great alternative to overeating! (I know from personal experience :) )

A good way for me was to change my eating habits. Try the "reverse diet". You eat a dinner-sized meal in the morning. This is when you want to eat most out of the whole day. Then have a normal sized lunch. For dinner, have something small such as a bowl of cereal. This way, you are eating a majority of your food at the beginning of the day and can then burn it off throughout your day and at night, you won't have a lot of food sitting inside your stomach, turning into fat. It worked for me! :)

I think the key is healthy eating, exercise, and moderation.

You should eat three or so balanced meals everyday, with healthy snacks when you get hungry. Try to exercise a little bit everyday, even if you just walk a few times around the block. Walk to places when you can.

The pounds may not fly off immediately, but you will see results in several months.
