you could do either, it doesnt really matter what order you go in because youd still have muscle under the chub, and then wen you lose the weight it will be their and you would problay lose some weight while your lifting weights and the other one is self explanitoryy.

Of course you can... and though slowly, you can do it simultaneously if you combine body-building and aerobic exercise. But first, get a "go" signal from your doc that you plan to do bodybuilding and aerobic exercise (get a general check up). Once you get a go signal, consult a certified fitness instructor. he'll tell you what to do next.

It's waaaaaaaaay easier to turn fat into muscle then turn nothing into muscle so don't stop weight-lifting and increase the intensity if you can. Having more muscle burns fat anyway. If you want to see better results throw in cardio on days you don't lift and watch that chubby just melt away.

you can build muscle, then lose weight, but its not the most efficient way to go about improving your body. It is very important to have not only weight training, but also cardio. Without the cardiovascular exercise your lungs, heart, etc. will be much weaker and will make the whole body building thing much more difficult on your body. Plus you'll get an overall effect of losing weight as well as gaining muscle.
