NO, antibiotics are the only way, and your dog could be in danger of losing its life if you have one with mange.

No it can't! You need to bring the dog to the Vet & buy the correct medication for it. Home remedies do not work for these kind of things.

In combination with proper medicines, it can't hurt the situation.

Do get 100% pure Aloe Vera. Most preparations sold in stores are crap. Get it at a holistic store and make sure is has no other ingredients but Aloe Vera. Not even water!

Puppies with mild cases would probably be the best bet for a lasting cure.

Chronic cases should use Aloe as a part of the treatment regimen. NEVER alone.

No. Take your dog to the vet and follow the prescribed treatment. Mange is caused by microscopic mites in the hair follicles.

Actually, I think demodex mange isn't fully curable...it's manageable... the other one, scabies or is transferable to humans, but curable... this type of mange can also be passed down to litters. It's found on just about everyone...

Unfortunately, no. While it can help relieve the itchies, it won't solve the problem. When 1of my Danes had it 10 yrs. ago, she had to be dipped & also had an oral medication. Back then the treatment was pretty strong- I hope you have an holistic vet in your area who can help you treat your pooch less harshly. I didn't know the meaning of "holistic veterinary medicine" back then :-(

Demodex sucks...HTH

About 98% of dogs carry the mite that causes demodex, & yes the mites are passed from mama to pups, however, the dogs who get the mange are the ones whos immune systems are weak for whatever reason. The mites start breeding out of control & the dog's immune system can't keep them in check. Boosting your dog's immune system is a great idea. Whether or not it's cureable...well, my Dane was treated for it 10 years ago & she's still going strong with absolutely no relapse whatsoever...FWIW...
