Can a fish survive in a fishbowl filled with Kool-Aid?

Can a fish survive in a fishbowl filled with Kool-Aid?

Postby TiffanyFoSHO on Thu Oct 22, 2009 7:05 pm

Okay, so Im watching Fairly OddParents && Cosmo and Wanda's fishbowl broke. So Timmy quickly put them in a glass of water.

The first thing I thought of was "Wow, if those were MY fish, they would have went in a tall glass of TropicalPunch/WatermelonKiwi Kool-Aid"

So...would the fish have died? ((& im talking about REAL fish, not cartoon fish. The show just gave me the idea))

yeah im pretty sure they would die. because fish "breathe" water. it would be like us breathing REALLY contaminated air.

Yes, they'd probably die shortly. Most likely pH shock.

That is cruelty to fish! Don't do it. Why don't you just fry them up in a pan and eat them?

I'd assume they would die fairly quickly.

No! the sugar and whatever else is in the kool aid would be like a pollutant to the fish. they need clean water at the right teperature with oxygen in the water..Yes fish need oxygen. {dont believe me look it up} and fish dont servive well in ponds with tons of alge cause it sucks up all the oxygen.

I suggest you get some real fish and stop watching that show. Oh, don't use Kool-Aid.

actually, if it were real life they wouldn't fair to well in a bowl filled with water either. goldfish are carp, which means they get very large and are very dirty. fishbowls cut YEARS off their lives. it's a shame that tv shows and movies glamorize fish bowls making them look like sleek ways of keeping fish when they're really death traps :(

but to answer your actual question, a fish would die in kool-aid very fast.
