Ayurveda for cancer patient?

Ayurveda for cancer patient?

Postby rocky on Fri Oct 23, 2009 5:37 am

My mother is a cancer patient diagnosed on feb-2009, she was under chemo for a period and responded well to the treatment .But in her 2nd cycle of chemo, she has stopped responding to it.

I have heard about Rasa-Rasayana technique of Ayurveda, but i dont know which will be the best institution for Ayurveda in India.

I have heard about a Lavanya Ayurvedic hospital in lucknow ,but im not sure of its quality.

Please let me know of all the information you have on Ayurvedic inst. in India, and what would be the best thing to do.

Thanks in advance ,for your advices..

thank you nikita for your response, but we have already consulted with Pat. doctors. And she has been doing Pranayam too, which she will continue to do so. But Pat. doc's have discouraged her total cure ...so we dont have enough faith on thier medicenes.

But anyway i will be glad to conversate with your grandpa for the sake of inspiration ... and i would appreciate to have his no.

Thanks

One important request --> Pl do not post advices discouraging my initial focus on Ayurveda, i mentioned it with lucidity, that the Oncology department has put its gun down already. Now , does it mean that i should put my FAITH down too? So some one like DAVE can restrict himself from posting immature advices... thank you very much

Ayurveda for cancer patient?

I am sorry your mother is unwell, and hopefully the doctor can change her to a different treatment that is science and evidence based. That means both plausible, and provable.

Ayurveda is neither of those things. You would be wasting your time and money, and delaying your mother getting real treatments that might actually help her, while letting her disease progress with useless treatments.

Ayurveda for cancer patient?

Postby Nikita352 on Fri Oct 23, 2009 5:55 am

this may sound cliche but i have seen it work wonders for my grandfather. i am speaking about baba ramdev / patanjali yog chikitsalaya.
My Grandpa was bedridden with High BP, heart by pass and what not. And i may add that he is very well to do and availed of the best treatments available in Mumbai.yet at that time docs had given up on him. he started practicing the pranayam in his bed - and the healing was nothing short of a miracle. This was 3 years ago.

You would not believe - after that he attended a lot of Patanjali yoga shivirs and is now a certified practitioner from Pat. yoga. he used to travel cities all by himself to organize yoga camps until few months ago.

AND he has treated Cancer in SEVERAL patients. He does not charge any fee or demand any gifts. he lives in Nashik, Maharashtra.
let me know ( edit your question) - if you want his contact details. traveling to nasik is not mandatory, he could advice you over phone.
however if you have any Patanjali chikistalaya near/ in your town/ city - visit it.

sincerely hope your mother gets right treatment at the right time and gets well soon.
take care

My advice is to be VERY skeptical of cancer quackery.

Alt Med is filled with placebos and scams. Trying to use it to treat cancer is a recipe for disaster. I wish your mother well, but Alt Med isn't going to be what saves her. It will be science based medicine.

Ayurveda has no effect on cancer. Take your mother to a proper doctor.

Only Alternative medicine can cure such diseases. Chemotherapy treatment makes the body's defense so weak and other communicable disease might attack the body and it might become fatal. You should have opted for Ayurvedic treatment well before Chemotherapy. Even the Western Medicine Experts agree that only 3% of the patients are cured using Chemotherapy. It acts only as a palliative in the initial stages. Do not worry, consult an expert Ayurvedic Physician in your area and get treated without wasting time.
