I was offered a job, and of cause I accepted. I am planning to leave in 4 days. I sent a e-mail today(Friday 1pm) to my futural manager to confirm the documents that I need to bring with me, and the date I am planning to leave. I have not hear from him yet, I know only half day since I sent the e-mail, but normally, he reply my e-mail in 5 minutes, this is very unusual!! ( trust me), today is Friday. Shall I still go to the job(in another state) next week, or shall I call him before I leave? Also, I wonder, they migh be mad at me, because I am from another country, and one tech in that department has sent an welcome e-amil, talking about the religious, and ,I am not very religious person, but I said : I am so happy to hear from you.... I deeply believe in GOD, for example, I have met several very close friends in amazing ways, and I believed the GOD has arranged this and has the purpose.... I have also said that: you are from this area( she moved from my area years ago, the job is in another state) , anything you need from here? I would love to do it for you, please let me know........could this cause the problem that they are mad at me? I am so worried...miserable! Please tell me that could they be mad at me, and change their mind, my job is gone? Thank you in advance!

Of course, I can't say with certainty, but it seems to me you're worrying very much too much.

Normally, once the job is offered and accepted, the manager can consider that task checked off the "to do" list and attend to other matters. No answer simply means that it's all taken care of, a done deal, and everyone can relax, confident in the assurance that you will show up on the agreed-upon time.

I would advise that, if you do choose to call before leaving, you don't betray any doubt about whether you are expected. Simply a courtesy call, social and friendly in nature, to say how happy you are to be on your way there, that you expect to arrive at <such-and-such> a time, and "besides the documents I know I need, is there anything else you'd like me to bring?"

The tech who wrote you a welcome letter is not concerned about you being from another country, and is not mad at you. S/He is, if anything, glad you'll be there to pick up some part of the workload. And after you made such a lovely offer, how could anyone be anything but appreciative!

There is an old joke about "borrowing a jack"; it's the type of joke that's called "canonical" because just the mention of that phrase is supposed to evoke an understanding of the concept. What you appear to be doing is an exact example of it. If you aren't familiar with it, I found it written up on this page:

Do an in-page search for "va" and you will see it in full.

As for what you should do: Relax and enjoy the few days before your job starts. And... there's "something" you've been hesitating to spend money on; well, now that you know you will have a paycheck coming, you can buy it. You know what it is...
