A single red bump on my penis, what does it mean?

I first noticed it immediately after having sex, when I pulled the condom off. It was right at the base of the shaft, and my initial reaction was that the edge of the condom was rubbing against that area and caused some irritation, forming a small pimple. Well that was about 4 weeks ago and it is still there. It started out looking like a pimple, with a small whitehead on it (now it is just a flat red bump). I still think it may be a pimple because it is by itself, there is no irritation, and it is in a spot that is probably hard to heal. I just started using a topical acne cream on it so I'll see how that goes. I suppose it could be herpes but I haven't experienced any negative symptoms. Any opinions?

From the description you give I'd guess your diagnosis is correct.

the only way to know for sure is to have it checked out. see your doctor or better yet a nhs walk in centre (they will be more likely to make a correct diagnosis)

its probably just an irritation from the condom. good luck.

neosporin on it. Probably a pimple you popped and made a scar. Or it could be an ingrown hair. It'll go away and don't pick it.
