A question about poker...........??? ?

If 2 players each of which had cards 5,3 and 7,3...and the flop was JJ66K, would it be a split pot or would the second player win with the high card 7 ???????

Split pot. Only the five highest cards count. So the "kicker" for the two pairs is the 'K' for both.

Split pot

Only the best 5 card hand would count. So each player has 2 pair, Jacks and 6's with King kicker.

Basically, if the person with 5-3 uses the board for his 5 card hand, he has J-J-6-6-K which is two pair.

If the other player used his 7 as part of his 5 card hand, he'd have to take away one of the board cards. If he takes away either a Jack, or a 6, then he no longer has 2-pair. If he takes away the king, he is just lowering his kicker. So the BEST possible hand he can make is using the 5 cards on the board, which matches the BEST 5 card hand for the other player, so the pot is split.
