A problem with my Eye, Seeing Dots? Need Help...?

A problem with my Eye, Seeing Dots? Need Help...?

Postby Andrew on Sat Oct 24, 2009 6:51 pm

Thanks for reading.. Anyways for the last 3 months i've noticed that in my left eye there is like this Dot i see where ever i look around. Expecually in the light.

Now you can't see anything on the eye if you look in the mirror, it's something else. If i hold my eye still in the same place then it disappears and reappears with the slightest movement.

I also got in a fight Yesterday (10.24.09) and it seems to be SO much worse. I got hit in the eye that i've had that problem with. So now im seeing a huge black dot and it's very annoying.

There must be somthing on a certain spot on my eye because the black dot never moves it's place unless my eye moves.

What could this be and what can i do to help it???

Please help, Thanks alot..

The dot that floats around in your eye is probably just a floater and is nothing to be worried about. Its just irritating.

I don't know what the black spot could be. You should go to a doctor to get it checked out. You could have some kind of trauma to that eye.

A black dot could be damage to the optic nerve or a torn retina. However, these would be severe and rare. If you really are concerned see an ophthalmologist. It will be a short visit and you will know for sure what is wrong and can get it fixed and off your mind. :-)
